Huawei P50 Pro will launch on January 12 in the global market. The latest confirmation is coming from the Huawei Malaysia Twitter account, which is another big release for the consumers. This news will surely excite Huawei fans, as it may soon also unveil for the European markets.

Last July, Huawei introduced a new Huawei P50 series smartphone in the Chinese market. However, only the Pro variant was scheduled for release in August. Later on, the company announced a standard P50 version that went on sale later in the year.

Initially, Huawei P50 Pro was equipped with Kirin 9000 5nm chipset but the company will sell the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 model to global consumers. On the other hand, the Huawei P50 Pro global launch will bring the EMUI 12 operating system, instead of HarmonyOS.

Currently, there’s no confirmation available on this matter Huawei may also unveil the P50 Pocket foldable phone alongside the P50 Pro for the consumers. However, more information is still awaited.

Huawei P50 Pro:

Huawei P50 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300 Hz touch sampling rate (2700 x 1228 Pixel) resolution, and 450 PPI for the maximum amount of viewing angles.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with an octa-core processor (1 x Cortex-X1 at 2.84 GHz + 3 x Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz as well as Adreno 660 GPU.

This phone is a camera monster and equips a new dual ring camera system consisting of a 50 MP True-Chroma Camera (Color, f/1.8 aperture, OIS), 40 MP True-Chroma Camera (MONO, f/1.6 aperture), 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (f/2.2 aperture) and a 64 MP Telephoto Camera (f/3.5 aperture, OIS), support AF.

There is a punch-hole design on the front side of the phone that houses a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Both of these cameras are packed with many camera modes including Cinemagraph, Story Creator, Audio Zoom, High-res, Time-Lapse, Ultra Wide Angle Lens, Aperture, Dual-View Video, Night, Macro, Portrait, Pro, Slow-Mo, Panorama, Monochrome, Light painting, Filter, Stickers, Documents, Master AI, Moving Picture, Snapshot, 4D Predictive Focus, Capture Smiles, Audio Control, Timer, and Burst Shooting.

Now, let’s come to the battery life, Huawei P50 Pro comes with a 4360mAh battery life with a recharge capacity of 66W supercharge. You can also charge this phone with a 50W supercharge fast wireless charging.

Currently, Huawei has not announced the price of P50 pro for Malaysian users but it retails at 7458 yuan (1169 USD).
