Huawei P30 Pro’s 50X vs Oppo Reno’s 60X digital, the zoom competition

Huawei has started the trend to introduce more zooming capability in a smartphone tagged in its P30 Pro flagship and this new technology became a big buzzword around technology lovers.

Is the 50X zoom of Huawei P30 Pro poses a threat to your privacy?

Now, this trend of adding more zoom to the smartphone has also followed by other smartphone manufacturer and challenging P30 Pro’s 10X hybrid zooming capability, which we’ll be going to discuss in the further below.

The phone that we’re talking about is Oppo Reno that can zoom in the same range as P30 Pro but can zoom up to 60x digitally. So, can it beat the Huawei P30 Pro in the zoom game? Let’s find out.



Huawei P30 Pro’s rear camera setup includes 40MP main + 20MP Ultrawide angle + 8MP Periscope Telephoto lens. To zoom into a massive 50X range. While the Oppo Reno comes with rear camera setup of 48MP main + 8MP Ultrawide angle + 13MP Periscope Telephoto lens.

When it comes to the zooming the Huawei P30 Pro’s 50x digital can easily beat Oppo Reno’s 60X digital zoom, where the zooming after 40X in Oppo Reno starts to show noises but P30 Pro keep it clean at its full pace.

In terms of comparing both of the quality of the camera, Huawei P30 pro uses a 20MP ultrawide angle lens, which helps the phone to capture more scene details in a single image compared to oppo reno. Moreover, the 40MP RYYB sensor maintains the quality of the scene better than its competitor.
