Huawei P30 Lite users receiving new update with November 2020 security patch

Huawei P30 Lite was initially released with EMUI 9.0 Android-based operating system and currently working on EMUI 10. It was reported that Huawei has denied releasing the EMUI 10.1 major updates for P30 lite smartphones, which is a big disappointment for users.

But, Huawei has promised P30 Lite users to deliver regular monthly security patches that fix the different levels of exploits and issues for further system security improvements

Now, Huawei has begun sending a new software update for Huawei P30 Lite users in India. This update installs the security patch released in November 2020 security that enhances the system security and overall device performance.

Update size: 105 MB

Security: Incorporated security patches released in November 2020 for improved system security.

Security patch details: November 2020 security patch fixes 3 critical and 15 high levels of CVE’s.

HOW TO UPDATE HUAWEI P3O LITE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.

THINGS TO KNOW:

  1. Currently, this update is rolling out in India.
  2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  3. The update will not erase any data.
