Huawei Nova Y91 smartphone is receiving a new software update in the global market and the company is improving the phone’s security with patches released in October 2023.

The changelog states that the Huawei Nova Y91 is getting this update with EMUI version 13.0.0.182 as well as a package download size of 346 megabytes. This is an incremental software release and doesn’t contain any major changes in the changelog.

Huawei Nova Y91 smartphone can download the October 2023 software update to fetch the new security patch onboard. You can visit Settings > System & updates, followed by Software updates and then the on-screen instructions. Huawei Nova Y91 comes in a super large size featuring a 6.95-inch full-view screen with always on display (AOD) feature and 270Hz touch sampling rate for fast touch interactions.

The phone packs a large 7000mAh battery, which can recharge with a 22.5W super fast charger. The battery could stand up to 29 hours of local storage video playback in a full recharge. The Nova Y91 features a 300% sound volume level provided by dual stereo speakers. It has 256GB of internal storage, which is sufficient to store massive amounts of photographs and media files.

On the rear side, you will see a giant ring camera design including a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. The screen also has a wide notch with an 8MP selfie camera. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core chipset. Interestingly, it’s one of the first devices to run EMUI 13 out of the box.
