TechInsights has released a report on global smartphone shipments for the Q3 of 2023 and noted that Huawei has increased 44% market growth as compared to the same quarter last year.

It is mentioned that Huawei’s new growth engine is driven largely by the Huawei Mate 60 Pro model, which also helped the company achieve a 50% growth rate in China for this quarter.

TechInsights said that Huawei’s return to Kirin chipset gave a spontaneous direction and it’s a big milestone. It’s also said that Huawei is also the only smartphone maker in the world with self-sufficient core chipsets.

The researcher is expecting that Huawei will reshape its smartphone market and strategy for the Chinese market in the coming quarters. This will have an impact on other Chinese phone brands as well as on Apple. Furthermore, Huawei could achieve a new market share in the next few quarters.

A new report forecasts that Huawei could ship around 100 million smartphones in 2024. This is more than double the count as compared to 2022 and the ongoing year.

Global:

The researcher shared that global smartphone shipments will fall by 5% year-on-year in 2023. This will happen due to various reasons including geopolitics, economic uncertainties, inflation, and rising prices. However, the market could return to shape in 2024 with a recovery rate of 3%.
