Huawei Nova 7 SE and Nova 7 SE Lohas Edition getting June 2021 security improvement [EMUI]

Huawei’s June 2021 security improvement is now made its way to Huawei Nova 7 SE and Nova 7 SE Lohas Edition. It brings security enhancements to these devices, while there are no major changes in the features or new notes added.

According to Huawei, the June 2021 security improvement brings fixes for different levels of exploits including 2 critical and 13 high levels of CVEs. It further enhances the user’s experience and brings stability to the device.

As usual, this is a staged rollout and may take some time to show up on your device via OTA. Meanwhile, you can also check for new updates with the help of the steps mentioned below.

Software versions:

  • Huawei Nova 7 SE: EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.214 upgraded from version 10.1.1.213.
  • Huawei Nova 7 SE Lohas Edition: EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.145 upgraded from version 10.1.1.143.

Huawei Nova 7 HarmonyOS 2.0 status 

After sending a bunch of HarmonyOS 2.0 beta updates to Nova 7 series, the company has also announced the first stable version of this software. However, the HarmonyOS 2.0 rollout is currently limited in China.

How to check for updates?

Download Via Settings:

  • Open Settings and click on System & Updates, then open Software update.
  • Tap on Check for updates option, if an update appears then click Download and install.
  • After installation reboot the device.

Download Via Support app:

  • Open the Support app, then navigate to the Service tab and click on the Update button.
  • Now tap on Check for update option, if found any then click Download and install.
  • After the installation completes, reboot the device.
