EMUI 10.1 beta recruitment starts for Huawei Nova 5 series and Honor 20S (Magic UI 3.1)

Huawei today has started a new EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 beta recruitment for Huawei Nova 5, 5 Pro, 5i Pro, 5Z and the Honor 20S in China. Also, some of these devices are getting a direct upgrade from EMUI 9.1 to EMUI 10.1.

EMUI 10.1 is based on the foundation distributed technology and comes with new features such as Huawei MeeTime and more Multi-screen Collaboration capabilities to let users the full advantage of multiple devices once, Celia voice assistant, Cross-device photo gallery, 3D AoD, Multi-Device control panel for better multi-tasking and more.

Timeline:

The EMUI 10 Internal Beta registrations for Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro, Nova 5Z and Honor 20S will be open from April 9 to April 19.

Registrations for Huawei Nova 5 Pro start from April 9 to April 13.

Following the registrations, Huawei will soon push the testing version of EMUI 10.1 to these devices.

Soon after the internal beta, Huawei will also start the registration for the public beta with more testers.

Following models adopted for EMUI 10.1/Magic UI 3.1 internal beta:

Huawei Nova 5:
SEA-AL00

Huawei Nova 5 Pro:
SEA-Al10

Huawei Nova 5i Pro:
SPN-AL00

Huawei Nova 5z:
SPN-AL00

Honor 20S:
YAL-AL50

Requirements:

Huawei Nova 5 is required to be updated on EMUI version 9.1.1.185.

Huawei Nova 5 Pro is required to be updated on EMUI version 10.0.0.152.

Huawei Nova 5i Pro and 5Z required to be updated on EMUI version 9.1.1.195.

Honor 20S is required to be updated on Magic UI version 9.1.1.158.

Users can check their build version by going into Settings > System.

Tip: Also, before upgrading to the beta version, we recommend users to back up important data to avoid any data loss.
