Huawei Nova 10 series is set to launch on July 4th and the Chinese tech maker has designed this upcoming Nova series with the best of its capabilities. Hence, the efforts clearly reflected in the rear design revealed in the promo material.  However, inputs continue to come regarding this phone lineup and we’re here to share some more on the chipset side of the Huawei Nova 10 series.

To begin with, a well know Weibo tipster has revealed that both Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset. In addition, the phone will be complemented by Huawei Enjoy 50 Pro featuring Snapdragon 680.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G for Huawei Nova 10 series has octa-core architecture that consists of 4 x Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz. On the flip side, the SoC is built with Adreno 642L GPU that brings best-in-class graphics processing power for the devices.

It’s not the first time, Huawei is jumping to use this Snapdragon processor, as it has already been equipped with Huawei Nova 9 and Nova 9 series devices launched last year.

Huawei Nova 10 Pro:

Recently, Onleaks has revealed the entire design of the Huawei Nova 10 Pro, featuring a full view display with curved edges and a wide pill shape cutout to house two selfie cameras. Moving on the rear side, the phone features a newly designed 50AI triple camera system.

The company has highlighted the middle camera of the setup with golden rings and put them there in a vertical alignment. Furthermore, the design is premium and comes in two hue full colors – Silver and Black. While there could be more variants that will be announced during the launch event.

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro features two physical buttons on the right side for volume control and power menu, as well as power and IO options on the bottom, while a secondary mic is on top.

On February 1, Samsung launched its latest flagship, Galaxy S23. Still, it doesn’t bring a trendy and futuristic feature called satellite communication AKA SOS satellite emergency message, on this front, Samsung failed, while it’s a win for Huawei and Apple.

Before we pick a shovel and dig deep into this matter, let’s take a brief look at satellite communication. The feature let you send a text message (one way) to a receiver via satellite. The feature could be used in an emergency when the mobile network is not available at all. However, its availability is limited.

Now back to TM Roh, yep, Samsung’s President and Head of Mobile Experience Business said that the company remains limited because it needs to be matured.

While speaking to CNET, Roh said “When there is the right timing, infrastructure, and the technology [is] ready, then of course for Samsung Galaxy, for our mobile division, we would also actively consider adopting this feature as well,”

He mentioned that satellite communication is one to make the phone better but Samsung is making its own efforts to improve the user experience such as better 5G connectivity.

“I do not believe that is the end-all or be-all of the solutions to ensure peace of mind among users,” he said.

Failed:

There was a time when Samsung used to rush on the lane to win the race for new features. However, this time, even Apple won over the South Korean company to install satellite communication in iPhone 14 series.

We may agree that the technological innovation level of satellite communication is at the initial stage but Samsung’s top brass saying that “it’s not yet ready”, kind of sounds like a “failure”.

Samsung failed but Huawei continues to innovate technologies such as satellite communication even with grave difficulties originated by the U.S. sanctions. In the face of challenges, Huawei is bringing new features that make a true difference among smartphone consumers.

Huawei P60 series is preparing to unveil and a tipster has now released a live image of the P60 Pro test device, which has identical statics to the past flagship.

According to the image shared by a Weibo tipster, the Huawei P60 Pro test device contains a large rectangular camera bump with dual ring cameras. The camera bump and the rear panel have pure white colors.

However, there are no other details visible at the moment. But the rear design looks different from the past leaks and rumors. It’s the fact that this is a testing model and covers up design aesthetics, so don’t reveal it ahead of the official launch.

The tipster reveals that the lens has quite a different arrangement than the previous flagship devices.

To bring new enthusiasm to the smartphone world, the Huawei P60 series will bring a powerful camera system. It includes a large main camera sensor to provide you bright, high-quality, and night photography user experience.

Speaking of which, the main camera has variable aperture technology, as it was first released with Mate 50 series. Combined with the XMAGE imaging system, the phone will enhance photographs.

Despite no 5G, Huawei increased foldable phones sale in Chinese market in 2022

Despite having no access to a 5G chipset, Huawei phones are rumbling over China’s foldable device segment and maintained its lead throughout 2022.

According to the data released by China’s CINNO research, Huawei shipped approx 1.44 million units of foldable display devices. The Chinese tech maker completed this task with a sales growth rate of 132% year over year. However, its market share decreased by 2.8 percent, while still covering over 50% of the overall Chinese market.

This sale count is contributed by the strong sales of the P50 Pocket and Mate X2 Collector’s Edition. Since its launch in December 2021, the Huawei P50 Pocket has been the single-season sales champion of China’s foldable phones market for three consecutive quarters in Q1, Q2, and Q3 of 2022. While the Pocket S jumped to the top sales in the fourth quarter.

Samsung comes second with a market share of 22.8%, a year-on-year decrease of 9.7 percentage points, Samsung has the largest decline within a year.

OPPO ranked third with a 7.7% market share, up 4.3 percent year over year. Coming to the last three Xiaomi, Vivo, and Honor with a market share of 6.6%, 5.8%, and 5% respectively.

Overall sales of foldable smartphones in China have increased by 144% year over year (YoY) with 2.83 million units shipment throughout the year. This is a massive growth among customers and it continues to rise over quarters.
