A new Huawei Mate 60 series cover mold leak has revealed interesting aspects of its rear design. The latest picture leaks are coming from Weibo, showing a device’s rear cover mold with camera openings for the entire module. The camera looks like Huawei Mate 50 lineup but with a slightly increased radius.

Inside the circle, you will see four openings three for cameras and one for LED. One of these stands for a periscope Zoom, probably on the right side’s rectangular cutout.

Rest of the openings to the house – the primary camera (variable aperture), laser autofocus, and LED flash. However, the three openings remain unconfirmed except the one for a periscope.

A part report speculates that Huawei will use a new 1-inch main camera system to empower photography. Also, there will be improvements to the variable aperture technology.

Huawei Mate 60 series cover mold shows the charging coil sitting below the camera module. This tech is used to wirelessly charge the device. One tiny thing to observe is that the wiring of the signal belt is very rich, which means the signal tech is going to be very strong.

Front:

This new Mate flagship is reported to come with a new smart island cutout screen design. This could be the first time when Huawei will adopt a center-top pill shape. However, it’s not going to be an aesthetic, instead, Huawei is going to pack it with full technologies including the 3D facial recognition system.

Furthermore, Huawei also uses a customized HarmonyOS operating system to support notifications and other system prompts around the pill shape cutout. This approach might feel like the iPhone 14 Pro but Huawei may do it differently.

Release Date:

Currently, Huawei has not announced the launch date of the Huawei Mate 60 series but it could happen between September and October.
