We are approaching the next Huawei Mate series flaghip – Mate 50. Meanwhile, leaks and news regarding this lineup continue to surface that is creating animosity among Huawei fans. Related to this, we now have a new Huawei Mate 50 series cover leak that shows more in the camera department.

Well-known Weibo tipster – DigitalChatStation has brought us a new Huawei Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro protective cover leak, which shows various aspects of the devices but the focus goes on the camera system. As shown in the images, the camera module size is not cylindrical, instead, it comes with a round shape, similar to the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 40 series.

Also, the rear side of the standard model doesn’t have the same level of curvature on the back panel as the Pro version. However, it can be noticed that the camera module size of the Mate 50 Pro is larger than the standard model but the tipster mentioned that the lens module is bigger in the standard as compared to the Pro version.

Furthermore, the camera on both phones has a big bump that is clearly visible on the covers and the LED along with the color sensor is sitting right there.

Moving on, the phone also has a cutout to feature a USB Type C port on the bottom along with a speaker grille, the right has functional volume adjustment and power keys. The top side of the phone comes with two holes, one of them could be for an IR blaster.

Huawei Mate 50 series:

Previously, a screen protector surfaced online showed that the Huawei Mate 50 Pro will feature a curved edge display but it may not be a super large waterfall design. Also, there’s a wide earpiece cutout, which could lead us towards the return of the head notch on the Mate 50 series.
