Huawei Mate 40 Pro first update brings new camera feature, improvement for apps and security (Europe)

On October 22, Huawei unveiled Huawei Mate 40 series featuring new cameras, Kirin 9000 chipset, a new display, and more. Following the launch, Huawei Mate 40 Pro pre-order started in Europe, and ahead of its sales, the phone is now receiving its first software update.

The first update Huawei Mate 40 Pro in Europe brings a new dual-view recording mode for the camera, optimizes the video editing feature in the gallery, and improvements for system security.

Aside from European markets, the Huawei Mate 40 series will launch on October 30 in China.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro first update Changelog:

Camera: Adds Dual-View recording mode to use front and rear camera simultaneously.

Apps: Adds the Huawei Store app.

Gallery: Optimizes the video editing function in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in September 2020 for improved system security.

September 2020 Security Patch Details:

September 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 3 critical and 19 high levels of CVEs.

EMUI VERSION:

Huawei Mate 40 Pro receiving its first update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.123 and an update package size of 842MB.
