The Huawei Mate 30 and 30 Pro are powered by the company’s latest Kirin 990 series processors, manufactured with the 7nm+ EUV process to bring new performance and efficiency boost in CPU, GPU, and NPU.

The Kirin 990 5G version of the Mate 30 series supports 2G/3G/4G network and 5G Non-StandAlone (NSA) and StandAlone (SA) modes, along with Dual SIM, Dual Standby and FDD/TDD full frequency bands to deliver seamless connectivity.

Also, Huawei Mate 30 smartphones counts as the first-second gen 5G smartphone to feature 14 antennas for 5G for faster speed and connectivity.

The new software optimizations made in Mate 30 series, gives a 60% increase in GPU Turbo, a 20% increase for EROFS and 25% increase boost for Latency Engine compared to its predecessor with Kirin 980 chipset.

Moreover, the new Kirin 990 uses Huawei’s self-developed Da Vinci NPU architecture to empowers AI tasks in Camera, System applications, Security, Smart Connectivity and others.
