Huawei Mate 30 series is now officially announced and it’s time learn about the prices and availability of these new smartphones.
Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 (5G):
The HUAWEI Mate 30 – 8GB + 128GB version with a priced 799 euro ($880, ¥6,262, ₹60,000). Conversion based on European price.
The HUAWEI Mate 30 – 6GB + 128GB version priced at 3999 yuan ($560, €513, ₹39,000). Conversion based on Chinese price.
The HUAWEI Mate 30 (5G) – 8GB + 128GB version priced at 4999 yuan ($700, €641, ₹49,000).Conversion based on Chinese price.
The HUAWEI Mate 30 (5G) – 8GB + 256GB version priced at 5499 yuan ($771, €705, ₹54,000). Conversion based on Chinese price.
Huawei Mate 30 4G will be on sale in China starting September 26 and the 5G versions in November. As global availability is yet to confirm.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 RS (12GB + 512GB version) with a price tag of 2095 euro ($2,314, ¥16,422, ₹1,65,039). Conversion based on European price.
Huawei Mate 30 RS will go on sale on November 10 in China, Global availability is yet to announce.

First Huawei Rotating Chairwoman Meng Wanzhou will start her duties on April 1
The top leader and CFO of Huawei, Meng Wanzhou will start her tenure as rotating chairwoman of the company on April 1, 2023. She is the rotating chairwoman in the company and It will be her first tenure.
Meng Wanzhou will start her duties as the first rotating chairwoman of Huawei and Mr. Guo Ping will be transferred to the chairman of Huawei’s board of supervisors. After Mr. Guo, the rotating chairmen and chairwomen are Xu Zhijun, Hu Huokon, and Meng Wanzhou.
Currently, Xu Zhijun is serving the chair for 6 months and his tenure will conclude on March 31, 2023. For your information, a rotating chairperson’s tenure stands for 4 months.
Ahead of the duty, China National Building Materials Group and Huawei held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing in February. Meng Wanzhou attended the signing ceremony as Huawei’s rotating chairman and witnessed the signing.
Meng Wanzhou graduated from China’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a master’s degree. Joined Huawei in 1993. She has successively served as the company’s international accounting director, the chief financial officer of Huawei Hong Kong, and president of the accounting management department. Meanwhile, she is serving as vice chairman, rotating chairman, and CFO of the company.
Since 2003, Meng Wanzhou has led the establishment of a globally unified Huawei financial organization structure, process, system, and IT platform. From 2007 to 2014, Meng Wanzhou promoted the IFS (Integrated Financial Services) reform in Huawei globally, making refined management one of the genes of Huawei’s continuous growth.
In 2014, Meng Wanzhou led Huawei’s data transformation and established a comprehensive data management system. He is the key person to adapt “counting one hole”, and made data a strategic asset of the company.
She enabled financial organizations to become business partners and value integrators through reform projects such as internal control of financial reports, consistency of accounts and facts, fund management, and tax management, and supported the rapid and steady development of the company’s business globally.
Since 2019, Meng Wanzhou has built an overall blueprint for financial digitization in line with Huawei’s strategic foresight and long-term development plan.
Through risk probes and control models, a non-contact risk control system and an agile operation and management system have been established to conduct smart operation management and decision-making based on data and AI algorithms.

Huawei trademarks ‘Xingyao’ for dual ring camera and rear phone design
Huawei has recently filed a word trademark “Xingyao” and Xingyao Edition, which is internally categorized under the scientific instrument or device.
According to the information, the term Xingyao has been used during last year’s Huawei Nova 10 series lineup launch event. Because it phone’s camera design of the dual ring is called Xingyao and also uses such technology.
It’s expected that Xingyao trademark is a step toward brand protection. However, the trademark approval is currently pending, which may take some time. Huawei has various technologies and ideas that the company safe keep for various purposes.
Huawei mobile UV camera feature can tell you to protect face from the Sun
Recently, China’s intellectual property office published a patent with application number CN115700841A and it has the title “Detection Method and Electronic Equipment”, which was applied on August 31, 2021.
Looking into the technical details, this technology uses an ultraviolet camera and an RGB camera, which collect UV-mapped images and color tones respectively. Then it matches the first area in the recognized ultraviolet image to the color image to improve the user experience.
That’s not it, there’s a visual representation of the entire scenario that showcases the camera can catch ultraviolet images from different angles and combines the information to process inside a dedicated application.
The app then improves the accuracy of the input and provides a refined result and guidance for the user. This is similar to a makeup app, you just need to open the sunscreen app, then tap on the shutter button and then the camera will do the rest of the work.
Once proceed the Huawei UV camera feature will tell you about the facial statics and may also highlight the area that needs sunscreen to protect the face from harmful sun rays.
Such features are a breakthrough for the smartphone industry but it would require you to manually record the facial data. Also, it would require additional camera hardware alongside the selfie camera.
To be mentioned, it would be interesting if the tech could be included in the face lock and show the statics on the lock screen.
