Huawei Mate 20 X (4G) is receiving a new HarmonyOS software update in China. As per the information, this latest update consists of system optimizations and brings December 2021 HarmonyOS security improvements. It enhances the user experience and boosts the overall performance.

By exploring the changelog, we have found that it optimizes the smart multi-window user experience and system stability that helps the device to run more stable. The December 2021 HarmonyOS security patch increases system security by resolving to different levels of CVEs found in the system, kernel, application, and more.

So, what’re the fixes with December 2021 HarmonyOS security improvements?

Well, the latest security patch fixes 1 CVE in framework, 2 CVEs in Kernel, 3 CVEs in the system, 3 CVEs in applications. Additionally, it also resolves 62 CVEs in the third-party libraries for improved system security.

To manually download this update via mobile Settings– open Settings > click on the System & updates > open Software update > tap on Check for updates option > (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation, restart the device.

Alternatively, you can download it via My Huawei App – open My Huawei app on your device > click on the update button> tap on Check for update option> (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation reboot the device.
