Huawei Mate 20 X (4G) on EMUI 10 also receiving December 2019 security patch with version 10.0.0.184 with the same improvements as mentioned in the screenshot below.

December 28, 2019:

Huawei Mate 20 series has been upgraded to EMUI 10 in many markets around the globe and last week, these smartphones received new optimizations in China, which now reached global versions along with the latest security.

This update for the Mate 20 smartphones contains fixes issues where no sound would be available during calls and the screen would display erratically for incoming calls in certain situations.

Moreover, it brings December 2019 security patch with fixes to 3 critical, 24 high and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found on Huawei/Honor smartphones.

Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro receiving a new security patch with EMUI version 10.0.0.180 with size over 600MB.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary in different regions/countries.

How to Update:

Via Settings

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on ‘System & updates’
  3. Click on ‘Software update’
  4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
  5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

  1. Open HiCare App
  2. Click on ‘Update’
  3. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
  4. Click on ‘Download and install’
