Huawei Mate 20 Pro receiving EMUI 10 in Japan

A week ago, Huawei rolled out EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 lite and P30 in Japan. By expanding this rollout, Huawei Japan is now sending EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

The EMUI 10 brings the latest features and changes in the user interface design including the magazine-style UI layout, Morandi UI color system, and the new Dark Mode, which provides users comfort while using their smartphone in the low light scenarios. (New Features linked below)

EMUI Versions details:

Huawei Mate 20 Pro users on EMUI 9.1 receiving EMUI 10.0.0.187 with 4.53GB OTA size. Users required to be on EMUI version 9.1.0.362 to receive the EMUI 10.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro EMUI 10 beta testers receiving EMUI 10.0.0.187 with 676MB patch size. Users required to be on EMUI version 10.0.0.157 to receive the stable EMUI 10.

Tip – Back up important data and keep the phone sufficiently charged before beginning to upgrade.

How to update:

Via Settings:

Open Settings
Click on ‘System
Click on ‘Software update
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES
Click on ‘Download and install

Via HiCare/Support:

Open HiCare/Support app
Click on ‘Services’ tab
Click on ‘Update
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES
Click on ‘Download and install

Note: HiCare is now renamed as Support App.
