Huawei is expanding the rollout of stable EMUI 12 for Mate 20 Lite users in the UK. The update is likely to expand to more regions in the coming days.

Currently, Huawei is seeding the EMUI 12 in its old and budget-friendly devices. Huawei Mate 20 Lite is also a three-year-old mid-range device that is now getting the EMUI 12 upgrade directly from the old EMUI version.

For the last two months, EMUI 12 was rolling for Mate 20 Lite smartphones in the European market with the build version Notably, the update is arriving in the UK markets with the same build number (C782E3R1P1).

The major software update comes with plenty of new features to give you a great user experience. The UI looks more vibrant with new animations. The font-weight can be customized, there’s an all-new control panel, a new distributed file system, and many more features that will surely enhance the working of the device.

Furthermore, there’s a new Device Plus section in the control panel for multi-screen collaboration. The software version also improves the existing MeeTime video calls feature.

To get the update:

To install the update, visit the Settings of your phone followed by a Software update and Download and install options. Finally, hit on the Download button >> Install now>> Restart.

Remember before updating:

Before starting the upgradation process, we advise you to make sure that your phone has a minimum of 50 % battery. Also, this is a major software update so it will consume more storage space, so maintain at least 4GB of storage in your device.

Don’t forget to back up your important data. Alongside this, we also request you not restart the phone until the installation process is complete. If you come across any problem during the upgrade, immediately call Huawei customer service for assistance.
