Huawei P40 Lite August 2022 EMUI update

Huawei started rolling out the August 2022 EMUI update for Huawei P40 Lite handsets. In the meantime, Huawei has also started the distribution of September 2022 security patches starting from its high-end flagship Mate 40 Pro smartphone.

Coming back, the new update will increase the security patch level of the smartphone while it’ll also protecting the device against any potential threats. Further, the new firmware has come up with the August 2022 security patches.

Although the update only includes security improvement and will not have any new changes to the system. Yet we recommend installing it for an improved experience.

As per the update information, the new update comes over EMUI 12 surface with build number 12.0.0.241 (C432E5R6P2) with an installation size of 307 MB.

For now, the August 2022 EMUI update is available for the Huawei P40 Lite users in Europe. Whereas, the users in other markets have to wait a bit longer as the company rolls the update in phases.

To manually check for the update, the users can follow these simple instructions –

  • Go to the Settings menu
  • Select System updates under the System & updates section
  • Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES
  • Then, Download the update and install it
  • Reboot once the installation is complete

The entire update process may take some time so, keep patience and sit back. Let the phone install the new version. Furthermore, it is recommended for you take a backup of important data to prevent data loss.

Huawei P40 Lite:

To recall, Huawei P40 Lite was quite a popular phone among global users. The phone features a 6.4-inch LCD display with 2310 x 1080 pixel resolutions.

It processes a Kirin 810 octa-core processor and is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.

The smartphone is also equipped with a quad rear camera system with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP for autofocus. The phone also has a 16MP front camera.

The device boasts a 4200mAh battery with 40W maximum charging support.
