Huawei Maimang 9 users getting January 2022 HarmonyOS update

Huawei Maimang 9, a China-exclusive smartphone is installing the January 2022 security update, which is rolling out with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.220. The latest HarmonyOS firmware mainly increases the security patch level that defends the smartphone against threats.

Besides the security improvement, the January 2022 update for Huawei Maimang 9 doesn’t include any additional features and optimization for system performance. However, the corresponding smartphone users can check the latest updates manually by visiting the phone’s setting followed by system & updates and software updates.

Well, the January 2022 HarmonyOS security patch details include fixes for 4 CVE in the framework, 10 CVEs in the system, and 5 CVEs in the application. Additionally, it also resolves the 111 CVEs found in the third-party libraries for better system security.

Important points:

Make sure that your Huawei smartphone will be charged at least 30% or above and carries enough storage to download and install the update package. For buffer-free download, use stable data or a WiFi connection. Also, do not forcefully reboot or power off the smartphone.

How to update:

To install the update, go to phone settings, tap on system & updates, and then software updates. Afterward, press the check for updates options and wait for some time. If an update pop-ups, download and install it.
