Huawei launched Good Hope Cloud Service, which focuses on security, production management, smart operation and more

On March 4, at Good Hope Cloud Service Conference 2021, which was held in Shenzhen, China, with the theme of “End-Cloud Collaboration, Be Different”. At the event,  Zhou Yuefeng, President of Huawei’s data storage and machine vision product line, reveals Good Hope Cloud Service.

This cloud realizing overall layout based on Huawei’s Machine Vision 1+3+N strategy, where  “1” refers to software-defined cameras, “3” refers to the light and micro-edge, good hope cloud services, “N” refers to software and hardware ecosystems such as intelligent algorithms and intelligent applications.

It mainly focuses on security prevention, production management, smart operation, and other sections. The Good Hope Cloud services include the development platform, Good Hope Mall, Good Hope video management, Good Hope Video Intelligence, and other smart cloud services. Additionally, it delivers services for governments, enterprise customers in their digital transformation of all levels of requirements for machine vision.

This Cloud service came into existence to focus the industry’s five scenarios including smart schools, smart communities, smart breeding, smart construction site, and smart chains to help in digital transformation on the cloud.

The President of Huawei Machine Vision, Duan Aiguo discloses that Good Hoop Cloud Service can cover major sections that are listed below:

1. Video experience: Using super encoding technology, provides clearer video quality under the same bandwidth that improves and smoother the video experience when the network is congested. Additionally, Huawei Cloud has 2500 + edge cloud nodes, Sinking the edge, the link is shorter, and the video loading is faster.

2. Data Security: data security will deepen security into the bones. Network security and privacy protection are Huawei’s highest guidelines. Good Hope Cloud Services has 80+ global security compliance certifications for Huawei Cloud and will achieve the industry’s ultimate end-to-end video data security.

3. Smart native: Good Hoop Cloud Service has the industry’s only architecture system that revolves around the full life cycle management of visual intelligence algorithms. It provides an end-to-end closed loop for the application, transaction, and development of intelligent algorithms.

4. Open ecosystem: Through the intelligent scenario-based API, it can help ISVs to connect and realize various needs according to the actual scenarios of customers.

During the press conference, Huawei also organized the “Good Hope Cloud Service Ecological Sailing Ceremony”, during which partners also shared their successful experience in cooperation with Huawei’s machine vision. In the future, Huawei will work with more partners to create an intelligent ecosystem of machine vision.

With the release of Good Hoop cloud services and the full integration of “end, edge, cloud, and ecology”, Huawei’s machine vision will go deeper into more industries and cover more scenarios in the next step.

Huawei decides new board of directors, check details

During a recent Huawei Investment Holdings labor union meeting, the company came to an election for a new board of directors. Also, Huawei CFO, Meng Wanzhou is elected to start her first rotating chairwoman tenure on April 1.

We’ll share all of the new board members and Huawei management as a part of Huawei’s future growth.

Huawei’s new board chairman and board members were elected by voting at the shareholder representative meeting. Subsequently, the company’s board of directors held a meeting and selected the vice chairman and executive director, and confirmed the attendance of the executive director.

Under the process, the Vice-Chairman and the Managing Director choose the Executive Board. Below are some of them

The board members include Liang Hua, Xu Zhijun, Hu Houkun, Meng Wanzhou, Wang Tao, Zhang Pingan, Yu Chengdong, Li Jianguo, He Tingbo, Zheng Liangcai, Ren Zhengfei, and more.

Huawei’s board of director consist of vice chairman Xu Zhijun, Hu Houkun, and Meng Wanzhou. These are the only three rotating chairmen of the company and each will serve 4 months’ tenure in a single year. Responsibilities are performed in turn in the following order:

  • Meng Wanzhou: April 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023
  • Hu Houkun: October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024
  • Xu Zhijun: From April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024
