Huawei improves P Smart+ 2019 system security with November 2020 update
Huawei initially unveiled the Huawei P Smart+ 2019 with EMUI 9.0 and then kicked off EMUI 9.1 and 10 major software updates for this device. Currently, the P Smart+ 2019 runs EMUI 10 but, it is not eligible for EMUI 10.1 or above. However it’s still eligible to get monthly security patch for further enhancements.
Recently, Huawei has started releasing a new software update for Huawei P Smart+ 2019 that brings the security patch released in November 2020. This improves the system security by fixing 3 critical and 15 high-level of CVE’s. Check more information below.

Version: Huawei P Smart+ 2019 receiving EMUI 10.0 version 10.0.0.180 with an update size of 114MB.

HOW TO UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
POINTS TO KNOW BEFORE UPDATE:
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
