Huawei improves P Smart 2019 system security via February 2021 update

Huawei P Smart 2019 was launched in December 2018 and packed with EMUI 9.0. At the moment, this device is running EMUI 10.0. However, it is not eligible to upgrade over EMUI 10.1 and above versions.

Aside from major updates, Huawei is continuously delivering further security improvement update for this P Smart 2019 device that defend phone against threats.

In this line, Huawei has begun sending a new software update for P Smart 2019. This update mainly brings the security patch released February 2021 that enhances system security.

February 2021 Security Patch Details: This February 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei smartphones including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
