Huawei P Smart 2021 starts grabbing February 2021 security improvement



For further improvements, Huawei is releasing a new software update for P Smart 2021 device. This update comes with security improvement released in February 2021 for improved system security.

February 2021 Security Patch Details: This February 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei smartphones including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

Last month, this smartphone installed the January 2021 security patch, which fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 4 critical, 1 medium, and 25 high levels of CVEs.

In 2020, Huawei debuted the P Smart 2021 smartphone, which was the company’s first device, which features a center-top hole-punch display design, EMUI 10.1, HMS, and more.

What’s new in this update:

New EMUI version: Huawei P Smart 2021 smartphone users receiving EMUI 10.1 version with an update size of 216MB in Europe.

Update log: Integrates the Android security patch released in February 2021.



To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
