According to the changelog, Huawei P50 Pro January 2023 security update comes with EMUI 12 build version 220.127.116.110 and a small package size of 358 megabytes. Don’t forget that this is a staged rollout and will be available for all P50 Pro models gradually.
Earlier, Huawei P50 Pro received an incremental software patch with display optimizations. While the size of this patch was relatively small at 4 megabytes.
Amid these software releases, Huawei has not revealed details of the EMUI 13 in the global market and the P50 Pro is one of the first phones to get access to this new major upgrade.
Update notes and instructions:
This update won’t erase your data but it is suggested that you make a back of important files to prevent unnecessary data loss. The update package will be deleted after a successful installation.
Huawei P50 Pro users can download this update via Settings > System and updates, then tap on Software updates > CHECK FOR UPDATES. This process will initiate the firmware download procedure (if available).
