On September 9, 2019, Huawei applied for a new patent related to the wireless charging system. As recently, the company has passed this patent with publication number CN112564295A in China.

Wireless Charging can reduce the number of cables and power adapters. Also, it is a convenient option or can be a good solution to change your battery. With this patent, Huawei can increase the charging distance, which is especially suitable for personal wear devices such as smart bracelets and watches.

This Huawei patent uses a variety of mediums, including iron, aluminum, copper, alloy materials, metal pipes, equipment metal shells, building metal structures, grounding grids, and other metals. It can also be humans, animals, soil, earth, seawater, etc. A non-metal dielectric, as long as its conductivity is greater than that of air.

The patent document describes that a wireless charging system, which belongs to the field of wireless charging technology. This system includes- a transmitting device and a receiving device.

The transmitting device includes an inverter circuit and two transmitting electrodes. The input end of the inverter circuit is connected to the DC power supply, and the two output ends of the inverter circuit are connected to the two transmitting electrodes one by one.

The receiving device includes two receiving electrodes and a rectifier circuit. The two input terminals of the rectifier circuit are connected with the two receiving electrodes one by one, and the output terminal of the rectifier circuit is connected with the load.

In the present application, one of the two transmitting electrodes and receiving electrodes passes through a first transmission medium with a conductivity greater than that of air. Therefore, the equivalent coupling capacitance between the transmitting electrode and the receiving electrode can be increased, thereby effectively increasing the wireless charging transmission distance and enhancing the flexibility of wireless charging.

Talking about current wireless charging technology:

The existing wireless charging technology requires two coils to be placed directly opposite each other, and the distance needs to be very close to charge, which greatly limits the application of wireless charging technology.
