Huawei announced stable HarmonyOS 4 rollout for these 8 devices including old Honor phones

Huawei today announced stable HarmonyOS 4 for 8 devices including one of the older Honor phones that were launched before Huawei and Honor separation.

According to the launch announcement, the latest stable HarmonyOS 4 rollout is coming to Honor 30, Honor V30, Honor 30 Pro, Honor V30 Pro, Honor 30 Pro+, and Honor Play 3 Pro smartphones. The stable roadmap also includes two of the smart router devices: Huawei Router AX3 and Huawei Router AX3 Pro.

All of these Honor smartphones entered the HarmonyOS 4 beta testing in October this year and within a month, the corresponding models have been upgraded to an official version.

How to install:

Smartphones can download the latest software update via the phone’s settings using the following instructions:

  • Settings
  • System and updates
  • Software update
  • CHECK FOR UPDATES

The router device can install the new software release via the Huawei AI Life app and select the router. From the device page, open Router, devices, and Upgrade Manager and then Check for the updates button.

Old Honor phones:

To be mentioned, both Honor 30 and Honor V30 smartphones were released in 2019 and 2020 respectively. The year, when the US sanctioned Huawei, which also affected its subsidiary Honor.

Honor 30 and V30 series are equipped with a Kirin 990 5G processor. Back then, the performance and price of these smartphones were very impressive.

The phone has a triple camera system including a 40MP main camera, 16MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The phone also used a Sony IMX6000 image sensor with dual OIS support.

With that being said, the new stable HarmonyOS 4 software update for all of these 8 devices will help to improve their performance and efficiency altogether.

HarmonyOS 4 brings new features including the new customizable large folders, a live window with innovative system activity monitoring, and a bunch of other additions.

The new software improves the system performance by up to 20% and enhances the battery life by up to half an hour.
