Honor V20 series smartphone users are receiving January 2022 HarmonyOS software update. This update improves the security of the device by installing the January 2022 security patch with the latest software version.

As per the information, the January 2022 update for Honor V20 smartphones comes with HarmonyOS build version 2.0.0.220 updated from 2.0.0.210. As always, the update take may some time to cover all users so keep patience.

Precaution:

It is suggested you take a backup of your important to prevent data loss. However, the update won’t erase your data but it’s good to keep a copy. Further, keep your smartphone charged at least 30% and maintain enough storage for downloading the update package.

How to update:

To install the update manually, open the  Settings > click on the System & updates > open Software update > tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES option > if an update is available, click on Download and install > after installation, restart the device.

Alternatively, you can download it via My Huawei App – open My Huawei app on your device > visit the update section > (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after completion of the installation process, reboot the device.
