Honor Play has already received February 2020 security update last week, improving the system’s security. And the next software update for this smartphone will install the VoWiFi calling feature.

According to the latest builds found on Firmware Finder, the next EMUI update for Honor Play will bring the Voice over WiFi feature along with March 2020 security patch.

Huawei has detailed the March 2020 security details and we can expect that the company will start sending this update by this or the next month to Honor Play.

The Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) service, also called Wi-Fi Calling, enables users to use smartphones that support VoWiFi to dial numbers to use voice or video calls when a Wi-Fi connection is available. Users can even make VoWiFi call in Airplane mode.

In addition to Honor Play, we previously reported that Honor 8X and Honor 10 Lite will also get VoWiFi tagged with February 2020 security update. However, the list of VoWiFi devices in India may expand further including the Huawei devices.
