Honor 9X breaks record, sold 200% more than Honor 8X in the first sale

Honor 9X went on sale on July 30 in China and its kick-off sale has successfully passed the very first milestone to climb a bigger shipment level for the series.

Honor 9X sales exceeded 200 million yuan ($2.9 million) worth units in just “2 minutes” that’s 200% more than its predecessor Honor 8X in the same timespan, creating the fastest sales record among the whole Honor X series smartphones.

As the Honor 9X Pro will go on pre-order on July 30 and its first sale is set for August 9 in China.

Last week in an interview, Zhao Ming said Honor 9X series has a great advantage against its competitors in terms of price and configuration. So, it must ship 20 million units.

Honor’s previous X series phone has maintained 10 million sales mark and the company is now aiming higher citing that Honor 8X series has exceeded 10 million in 173 days, as its global shipments exceeded 15 million units in 9 months.

Zhao said, by looking at these sales figures, Honor 9X series will ship more than 20 million units worldwide.
