Honor 8X Max getting EMUI 9.1 beta with GPU Turbo 3.0 and more

While Google has started its 90 days temporary services to Huawei, the company is rolling out new EMUI update for its existing devices including the Honor 8X Max, which is now receiving the EMUI 9.1 through a public beta program in China.

The EMUI 9.1 is built on top of Android 9.0 Pie and installs new features, a user-friendly design and, improved and intuitive interface.

The update for Honor 8X Max is coming as EMUI 9.1 beta version 9.1.0.110 and its size is 3.2GB, We’ve confirmed that this update rolling out in China under a beta program and will rollout outside China as it comes out with a stable version.



Supported Models are the following

Honor 8X Max – ARE-AL00
Honor 8X Max – ARE-AL10
Honor 8X Max – ARE-TL00

If you want to check for the update manually, please follow the steps below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

GPU Turbo 3.0: New version of GPU Turbo provides better gaming performance and processing acceleration support for a long list of games.

Eye Comfort Mode: This update brings improvement to Eye comfort features.

Bluetooth: Bluetooth enhancements are added.

Security: The update for Honor 8X Max brings May 2019 security patch.
