Honor 8X HarmonyOS

Honor 8X is the most successful Honor device of all time that is praised by consumers all across the globe and it’s ready to install. The phone comes with several new features that include a 6.5-inch full HD+ display. It has a 20MP dual rear camera system including a 2MP depth sensor as well as 16MP front-facing camera powered by AI features.

The Honor 8X comes with Android 8.1 based EMUI 8.0 and received two major rollouts of EMUI 9.0 and EMUI 10.0. The phone’s current Android version is Android 10 and it has not been upgraded with EMUI 10.1 either.

However, with the arrival of the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system, Huawei announced that this phone will also receive this new OS. This is quite exciting news for the Honor 8X users even if its remains inside the Chinese circle.

More interestingly, Huawei has begun to recruit HarmonyOS 2.0 6th phase beta recruitment and Honor 8X is in the list of this testing phase. The recruitment will remain open until September 22. Thereafter, the Honor 8X users will be able to upgrade or receive HarmonyOS 2.0 test build.

HarmonyOS 2.0 Closed beta 9 devices

HarmonyOS 2.0 brings a new user interface that enhances the overall user experience and brings new features to provide a seamless cross-device user experience. This update is now enjoyed by over 90 million Huawei smartphone users in China and the number is still growing.

Therefore, the Honor 8X users will surely be looking to upgrade with HarmonyOS 2.0 directly from EMUI 10.0. Still, we know that there are plenty of Honor 8X users around the globe, you may not need to worry because, as soon as HarmonyOS 2.0 make its way outside of the Chinese market, it’ll eventually lead toward Honor 8X as well.
