Giving an idea of what developments are taking place at present, Huawei Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro have qualified for three more certificates.
Yes, you read it right. The standard Huawei Mate 50 and the Pro variant have gained three new certificates regarding some crucial characteristics. Consequently, it looks like, the Chinese manufacturer is putting all its efforts to make the next flagship model one of the best competitors in the smartphone market.
The latest info is surfing on the page of the famous Weibo blogger @DigitalChatStation. According to him, the respective phones have attained these certificates in terms of Safety, Radio Type Approval, and Network Access Permit.
What are these three certificates?
Ahead, the tipster has also explained the following qualifications in a detailed manner:
- 3C Safety Report (CCC): The device gets this certificate from the National Quality Certification Center. This document indicates that the phone is fulfilling all the criteria of the Chinese quality and safety requirements.
- Radio Type Approval Certificate (SRRC): This document certifies that the phone follows all the rules and regulations, issued by the Radio Administration. Further, it must have a radio frequency in a limited range.
- Network Access Permit (CTA): This is a comprehensive performance test, specifically meant for smartphones. It is the last certificate that comes under long-term norms, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Apart from briefing these certificates, the digital blogster also mentioned some significant additions to the device. As per the reports, the network used by Mate 50 series will comprise 66W quick charging as standard. Besides, the Mate 50 Pro will also consist of new features and will highlight a curved screen design with bangs.
There is still some time left in the release of the Mate 50 series. Till then, let’s see what else we will catch before the official introduction of the new members of the Mate family.
Huawei Mate 50 is bringing the notch, which iPhone 14 about drop
Obviously, Huawei is not using the notch for the first time, as it already has been used in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and to mention, and it has been the most popular Huawei Mate device so far.
Initially, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has been focused on face id or phone security. The module consists of an RGB camera, dot projector, flood illuminator, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, speaker, and IR camera.
The latter came – Huawei Mate 30 Pro also brought in a notch but it focused on the selfie camera and hand gestures.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro device has completely ousted the notch with pill shape and center hole punch display design and went better for the portrait and gesture controls via the front cameras.
Notch in iPhones:
Yes, iPhones = notch originator, as it was first introduced with the iPhone X lineup and followed in the consequent models – iPhone 11, 12, and 13.
Apple’s concept and technologies behind this notch were to feature face id, it houses – an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, flood illuminator, infrared camera, microphone, front camera, dot projector, and a speaker.
The technology has been pretty successful. In terms of design, and as compared to the previous model, iPhone 13 has shrunk for a better user experience.
Yet, leaks and rumors have suggested strongly that the iPhone 14 Pro models will come with a pill and punch hole display design to contain all of the required face id sensors.

Return and Exclusion:
On one end – Huawei is preparing to bring back the notch on Mate 50 devices, while on the other end, Apple is about to exclude with iPhone 14. Let’s see the outcome of this return and exclusion scenario, as both of these devices face each other in the first half of September.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro to come with quad camera system, details leaked
Huawei Mate 50 series is once again in the midst of the hot topics list, but this time for the Pro variant. Ultimately, a well-known digital blogger brought his creativity to the Weibo site and described the rear camera setup of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro handset.
According to the reports, the digital blogster @WangzaiIshitong has shared a rough diagram of the Mate 50 Pro camera arrangement. The image is quite sketchy but gives a lot of information regarding the upcoming Pro member of the Mate 50 series.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro – Quad-Camera Hood
As per the image shown by the tipster, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro handset model will carry a quad-camera setup on the rear side. Consequently, the device adopts a circular mount which is similar to our previous renderings of the device.
Besides, this circular bump packs four lenses which are diagonally located against each other. Speaking of the position, the main snapper of the device will take place at the upper right corner in the rounded area. On its side (upper left corner), there is the ultra-wide-angle shooter.
As of the bottom right and left corners, the device has given space to the telephoto lens and a sensor respectively. Aside, the rear camera design also consists of different tiny holes in the circular mounted plateau. As per the beliefs, these could be the LED flash as well as the color sensors to give your snapshots a little more light and detail.
Notably, this image is a reflection of the engineering machine. Perhaps, we can assume that we are moving on the right path with the lens specs of the Huawei Mate 50 series. Furthermore, the blogster also hints at the exterior design of the device. It states that the Mate 50 Pro eliminates the large four-screen curvature and will lead up with a notch curved screen.
Apart from the four lenses of the smartphone, the tipster also mentioned that the new brand of imaging – XMAGE will remove the tag of Leica from the upcoming phones. Thus, instead of Leica, the Mate 50 Pro will stick the logo of XMAGE positioned at the center of all four shooters.
Things are still running under speculations. But we are eagerly looking forward to experiencing the new XMAGE technology and other features that Huawei has implemented on the Mate 50 lineup.
