Honor 30 series goes official with 70-degree curved display, new design, full 5G support and more

On April 15, Honor unveiled its latest flagship – Honor 30 series, comprising three models – Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro and the Honor 30 Pro+.

All three of these models offer specs and capabilities according to different categories including camera and hardware. The most interesting fact is that these phones have full 5G support for the consumers.

Display:

Honor 30 comes with a flat 6.53-inch OLED hole-punch display while the Honor 30 and 30 Pro+ has customized 6.57-inch 70-degree curved OLED display with punch hole design.

The display of Honor 30 Pro+ comes with the support of the 90Hz screen refresh rate to make the animation looks smoother. The display on both Honor 30 and 30 Pro+ is narrow at 1.3mm and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Honor 30 Pro and 30 Pro+ are only 8.38mm thick and weigh 186g and 190g respectively.

Design:

Design is one of the crucial changes that Honor has made in Honor 30 and 30 Pro+. The company has used AG Frosting process to blend the different colors into one for the rear design.

Also, for the first time, Honor has put a big HONOR logo on the rear that extends from below the camera to the bottom of the devices. There are also models without a big logo.

Honor 30 and 30 Pro has five color options of Black, Silver, Violet, green and frost white. The Honor 30 Pro+ has Black, Silver, and Green three colors.

Power Features:

Honor 30 and 30 Pro+ equips the flagship 7nm+ Kirin 990 5G chipset with dual NSA/SA 5G network architecture support. On the other hand, the new 7nm Kirin 985 5G chipset first installed in the Honor 30 model.

Also, the Honor 30 and 30 Pro+ has Wi-Fi 6+, SFS 1.0 flash memory, VC cooling system, dual stereo speakers and more.

All three phones runs Magic UI 3.1 software system and packages with 4000mAh battery supporting, 40W wired and the Pro+ version equips with 27W wireless and the reverse wireless charging capabilities.

The Honor 30 has a quad-camera setup consisting of 40MP main + 8MP telephoto with 50X zoom + 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 2MP Marco camera.

Honor 30 Pro features triple cameras – 40MP main IMX600 sensor + 16MP ultra- wide-angle  + 8MP telephoto with 50X super stable zoom with OIS.

On the other hand, Honor 30 Pro+ has custom IMX 700 50MP main camera + 50X periscopic zoom with OIS and AIS image stabilization + 16MP ultra wide-angle camera. This camera configuration of Honor 30 Pro+ has established it in the second place on DXOMARK camera ranking.

On the front side, the Honor 30 equips 32MP camera, while the Pro and Pro+ models feature 32MP main + 8MP ultra wide-angle cameras for selfies.
