Here’s the download speed test between Huawei Mate 20 X 5G and a 4G smartphone

On July 26, He Gang, President of Huawei Smartphone Product Division, came up with a speed test of Huawei Mate 20 X 5G directly from its launching venue in China.

Gang, compared 4G version and 5G version of Mate 20 X. As the 5G version of Mate 20 X has a download speed of 1735Mbps, an upload speed of 212Mbps. Meanwhile, the 4G version fetched the download speed of only 94.4Mbps and an upload speed of only 12.0Mbps.

The official also tested, download speed on Huawei App Gallery where he downloads a pack full of apps and the 5G version download it way ahead of the 4G version.

Lastly, He downloaded a full Game of 1702.4MB on both phones which took about 15 seconds to complete the download on Mate 20 X 5G compared to the 4G version which was far away from its download time.

For specs, Huawei Mate 20 X is packed with two 7nm chipsets first is Kirin 980 and second is Balong 5000 5G chip.

According to Huawei, Balong 5000 shows up in benchmarks for peak 5G download speeds. At Sub-6 GHz (low-frequency bands, the main spectrum used for 5G), Balong 5000 can achieve download speeds up to 4.6 Gbps. On mmWave spectrum (high-frequency bands used as extended-spectrum for 5G), Balong 5000 can achieve download speeds up to 6.5 Gbps – 10 times faster than top 4G LTE speed.
