Recently, Huawei opened the gates of HarmonyOS 4.0 developer beta for the Huawei smartphone users and we’ve brought you the everything guide that you need to know about the Phase 1 testing of this new HMOS version.

Although it’s a developer-only activity but users of any of the below-mentioned phones can also take part to try their luck.

Huawei has made several improvements for the developers in ArkTS language, Stage model, ArkUI enhanced components, and many features DevEco Studio brings convenient and efficient application development.

Timeline and rollout:

HarmonyOS 4.0 developer beta first phase of recruitment is open from June 25, 2023, to July 3, 2023 (23:00 PM). The company will evaluate the signed applications from June 30 to July 14, 2023. Thereafter, Huawei will release HarmonyOS 4.0 developer beta for the participants.

How to register:

Developers can participate in this activity by signing up from the registration page. To do so, click the “Register Now” button at the top of the page to apply.

After a successful review, you will receive Huawei’s official notification email/SMS. According to the content guidelines, you can get online upgrades (preferably from developers whose apps have been launched on the Huawei AppGallery, the quota is limited and come first) first served).

Note: Due to the fact that the developer Beta version is currently in the confidentiality stage, special processing has been done on the upgraded mobile phone interface, such as the “Settings” interface/screenshots have slanted lines, this phenomenon does not affect the normal use of the phone, and it is expected that subsequent consumer versions will return to normal.

Next phase?

Huawei has confirmed that there will be a second phase of recruitment but the tech make remained secret about the actual date.
