Back in August, Huawei seeded the July 2022 security patch to the Nova 9 smartphone users. Now, Huawei Nova 9 smartphone users are receiving the August 2022 EMUI update.

As we know, the monthly update for Nova 9 is rolling out a little bit slower on the EMUI base. Whereas, a few weeks ago firm already released the August 2022 optimization for the Nova 9 users.

At present, the update is available for the European users of the handset. So, the users in other regions have to wait for a few days to receive this update.

The update delivers security enhancements to the phone. It brings with it general fixes and the patches released in August 2022. The changelog doesn’t post any details beyond that.

Moreover, the Chinese phone maker details that this patch fixes the two critical CVEs and 10 high CVEs in the system.

Moving forward, the Huawei Nova 9 device owners can identify the August 2022 update with EMUI build number 12.0.1.225 (C432E2R1P2). While the update weighs 230 MB.

We recommend Nova 9 users install the update as soon as it arrives on your device. If you are eager to get it, then don’t wait for the OTA notification and manually check for updates by visiting the software update section.

How to check for updates:

To check, go to the phone’s Setting menu > tap on the System & updates > Click on Software updates. From here, tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES and wait until the phone searches for the new update. Once the update is found, tap on the download and install option.

On the flip side, you can also download the update through the My Huawei app. Open the app and visit the Support section. From here, tap on the update icon, and follow on-screen instructions.

There are a few things that you need to do before going to the update sections. Make sure that your device is charged sufficiently, and has sufficient storage. Also, take a backup of important files to prevent data loss.
