EMUI 9.1 update now rolling out for the Huawei Y6 2019

Huawei has started rolling out a huge software update for the Huawei Y6 2019. The latest update brings EMUI 9.1 with many new features and July 2019 security patch.

The software version of this update is EMUI 9.1.0.240 and the size of this update is 2.35GB.

The Huawei Y6 2019 is a low-budget phone with standard hardware, which caused it to miss features such as GPU Turbo 3.0, Ark Compiler and EROFS.

Note: This update is rolling out in batches. The EMUI versions and update size may vary depending on the market and models.

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App: Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the Checkbox and hit Apply.
