Camera and App improvements rolling out for Huawei Mate 40 via new update

After the launch of Huawei’s annual flagship, Huawei Mate 40 series in China, the company is continuously releasing software updates for Mate 40 series smartphones for further improvements.

Last week, Huawei has delivered the EMUI 11.0.0.155 SP1 version for Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Pro+, and RS Porsche Design that brought optimizations for system stability.

Now, Huawei is sending a new software update for Huawei Mate 40 smartphones. This update brings the improvement for camera stability, video shooting experience, and optimizations for the WeChat application, which enhances the users’ experience and overall device performance.

Version: Huawei Mate 40 device grabbing EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.120 SP1 from 11.0.0.115.

  1. Currently, this update is rolling out in China.
  2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  3. The update will not erase any data.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
