On October 30, Huawei has launched its annual flagship lineup, Huawei Mate 40 series in China. This series was consists of four models – Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design.
This flagship series offers the latest hardware and software technology to provide a better user experience, which includes the Kirin 9000 processor with a 5G modem, pre-installed EMUI 11, professional cameras, 88-degree ultra curved display, faster wired and wireless charging, and much more.
After the launch of Mate 40 series, Huawei is continuously releasing the new EMUI 11 software updates for further improvements. Now, in the same month, the company is sending another update for the Huawei Mate 40 series that bring optimizations for system stability, which enhances the overall device performance.

New EMUI 11 version:
Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Pro+ and RS Porsche Design receiving EMUI 11 version 188.8.131.52 SP1 upgraded from 184.108.40.206.

- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
