On June 2, Huawei will unveil the HarmonyOS operating system and a bunch of new smart products. These include the Watch 3 series smartwatch, new smart screen TVs, a possible announcement for Huawei P50 launch, the revealing of the new 4G products, smart screen smart TV, and more.

But Huawei will also come with new products in the tablet segment, starting with the second-gen MatePad Pro lineup. Previous information shows that MatePad Pro will come in two sizes 12.6 and 10.8-inch screen sizes.

Now, Information coming from a well-known Weibo tipster reveals that Huawei will use 5 nanometers processed Kirin 9000 chipset in the 12.6-inch version. While the 10.8-inch version will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which is quite surprising and proved to be a wise decision from the Chinese tech giant.

Aside from these, a report reveals that Huawei will introduce a number of new 4G versions of its smartphones such as Huawei Mate 40, Mate X2, and Nova 8. Now we can expect that these smartphones could also feature the Snapdragon chipset instead of Kirin.

Will use another processor on Huawei P50 and MatePad 2:

The tipster further suggested that Huawei will use a different Qualcomm processor on MatePad 2 tablet, which sports a 12.2-inch display size. Similarly, a previous report also indicates that the Huawei P50 lineup will also equip a 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 processor. On the other hand, the 5G version of the flagship will have the Kirin 9000.

Adaptation of Qualcomm in HarmonyOS platform:

It’s now also confirmed that HarmonyOS is officially adopting the Qualcomm chipset platform, which is another good news for the open-source community and for third-party phone makers who plan to use this operating system.

4G and Chip shortage:

As mentioned above, this new decision from Huawei could prove to be wise in terms of business as well as to solve the current chip crisis inside the company.

With the opening of the Snapdragon processor, even it’s for 4G, the company will continue to operate in the consumer section and launch new products with full-fledged functionalities because of the performance of the Qualcomm processors.

To be mentioned, it’s also suggested that Huawei is planning to use a large number of Qualcomm chipset in the coming products, and each product made with Snapdragon chips will be available in sufficient quantity.
