Breaking: Huawei launches EMUI 14 beta program
Huawei phone users have been eyeing EMUI 14 for a while and the tech giant now finally launched the EMUI 14 beta program. It looks like the company is ready to serve a new offering to its global users with a range of exciting features and improvements.
During the MWC 2024 event in Barcelona (Spain), Huawei showcased some of its flagship products including the Mate 60 series. While the company didn’t elaborate much on the software aspects, the new phones were found with pre-install EMUI 14.
Notably, the new EMUI version has been running on the Mate 60 Pro, Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design, and the Mate X5 handsets. EMUI 14 pre-install build looks somewhat similar to HarmonyOS 4.0. Although many features are still under the hood.
After a slight discussion among attendees and the company’s executives, it appeared that Huawei is planning the official launch of EMUI 14 this summer. Meanwhile, the tech giant said to begin the new software beta testing program later this week.
Today, Huawei has officially started the EMUI 14 beta program for its top-end smartphone models. The list counts P-series, Mate-series, Nova lineup, and a foldable.

Beta Program ensures that countable users can test the new software and explore a variety of features ahead of the major rollout. One can report or share their feedback if deal with any kind of issues, bugs, or other relevant glitches.

A few reports suggested that Huawei is likely to bring a new status bar for EMUI 14. The amazing addition will appear as a polished and renovated version of previous outlooks. Meanwhile, the overall UI will be cleaner and more visible than EMUI 13.
Changes could further appear in terms of Typography, Icons, Space, and other UI elements. On the flip side, EMUI 14 hearsay to adopt fresh camera features alongside a new zoom system and a quick access menu under the shutter button.
