iPhone 15 supports wireless charging and a few people come up with an issue that BMW wireless charging could create faults for the NFC chip.

Macrumors reports that some BMW owners complained that the NFC feature of iPhone 15 is no longer functional. It’s specifically mentioned that these users charged the devices in BMW cars.

The NFC chip is a crucial part of smartphones including the iPhone, it enables in a fast tap-to-pay system and payment terminals.

From the current content, the affected iPhone 15 shows the error message “Could not set up Apple Pay”. Currently, there’s no specific way to patch this issue but some users reported that Apple has returned their unit after the issue occurred.

Also, it’s revealed the new NFC chip fault appeared in iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max devices. Yet, there’s no confirmation about the 15 and 15 Plus models. Therefore, most of the iPhone 15 users are recommended to resist a BMW.
