After a patch, Huawei P30 Pro global units get network improvement software update

Huawei P30 Pro global users are now surprised by a new software update for better network improvement.

The latest rollout comes after the company released a small software patch for this flagship smartphone. The patch aims to improve the device’s system performance and provide better software experience.

Huawei P30 Pro is one of the most important smartphones that Huawei serves with new software updates.

The latest update for the phone has an EMUI version 12.0.0.219 and the OTA software package size is 205 megabytes. Unlike this, the past patch only weighed about 20 MB, suggesting the level of importance of this new rollout.

However, the changelog mentions only the network improvements and there aren’t any other features added to the device, at least in the changelog section.

Huawei used to send these updates to keep away some issues in communication for old smartphones. Such bugs could cause calling and mobile connectivity in critical times. Still, the specific improvements are unknown in this matter.

EMUI 12:

The latest network improvement software update for the global Huawei P30 Pro requires EMUI version 12. And it’s more likely that most of the P30 series owners have already claimed their share of this major version.

Aside from that, you can check for the upgrade via the following instructions:

1. Open Settings menu
2. Scroll down and tap on System & updates
3. Open Software update
4. Now tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES

The system will check for new software and fetch it on your phone’s screen. Once available, you can fetch it by clicking “DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL”.

Before you install this software, make sure your device has enough battery levels. The package will be deleted after the installation.

For now, the Huawei P30 Pro is not enlisted as an EMUI 13 eligible smartphone but you should download this new firmware to get the best user experience.
