9 Huawei AITO smart car models receiving public beta with new enhancements

Huawei and AITO have opened a new public beta program for 9 smart car models including the M7 and M9 lines, delivering some useful features as well as enhancements. The firms also added a few vehicles from two years back to offer a better experience.

Inputs reveal that the public beta program for the 9 Huawei AITO smart car models has started today and will continue for a few days. Hereafter, the SUVs will fetch the public testing version to explore the fresh add-ons ahead of the official release.

List of AITO smart car models eligible for this program:

• AITO M9 extended-range version
• AITO M9 SUV version
• AITO M7 2022 model
• AITO M7 Max version
• AITO M7 Plus model
• AITO M5 smart driving version
• AITO M5 SUV smart driving version
• AITO M5 standard version 2023
• AITO M5 SUV standard version 2023

Public Beta Versions: V3.3.10.3

Smart cars with the prefix M5 will receive the V3.3.10.3 public beta build. The firmware will roll out new features like a sentry mode shortcut switch which you will find under the Control Center > Edit > Sentinel Mode.

Next is the automated wiper disabling feature. With an auto-gear tool, it will continue to work and will stop as soon as a passerby comes in front of the smart car. Just set the wiper to automatic mode, as it remains on by default.

Other additions count support for dual wireless 50W charging that boosts the power from 40 to 50W, ADS 3D view for impressive display effects, and optimizations for adjusting the high-low beam. As a result, you will observe the change in trigger time, accurate identification of stable cars, and more.

This build will further improve the AVP (valet parking assistance) with manual speed adjustment. But this capability only works with the ADS high-end package.

Users will find optimized AVM and automatic parking assist feature (APA) while shifting to the R gear. It is capable of smartly noticing your demands as per the navigation scenarios. NCA smart speed limit for safety on narrow roads has also been optimized.

Here are the NCA optimizations:

• Optimized human-machine interactivity to smartly reduce the car’s speed on narrow roads. You will see a prompt “Slow down, the road is narrow”.
• Reduces the speed in bad weather conditions like fog, snow, and icy roads. “Slow down, visibility is low” or “slow down, icy road” will appear on the ADS 3D view screen.
• Notifies you about pedestrians or vehicles near traffic lights or intersecting roads and prompts “Please pay attention to pedestrians and vehicles, they are about to pass the intersection.”
• Optimize the mileage data and display features of driving analysis.

Public Beta Versions: V3.1.15.1 and V3.3.10.4

AITO M7 2022 model will obtain the V3.1.15.1 version whereas the 2024 M7 Max and Plus variants will grab the V3.3.10.4 build number. These new builds will offer the following features:

• Co-Pilot Nap mode: Passenger seats enter name mode by either selecting it on the infotainment screen or voice command.
• Added a new Sentry Mode Shortcut feature.
• Force unlocked feature for fuel tank cover: Long-press the red tab below the control screen to force unlock the fuel tank cap.
• One-key car preparation: The feature readies the vehicle in one tap and lets you turn on battery heat, AC, and seat ventilation, before moving to a destination. The feature is available in the AITO app.
• Added ADS 3D view display effect
• Improves the smart adjustment of high-low beam feature
• Improves the AVP functioning and adds support for manual speed adjustment.
• Optimizes the interface of AVM and APA while shifting gear to R.
• Optimizes the NCA smart speed limit and mileage statistics.

Public Beta Versions: V4.2.2.4

Finally AITO M9 series will receive the V4.2.2.4 version to enhance the remote parking assistance. It will also fetch a range of significant features which are:

• Remote Parking Assist: Use the AITO app to perform remote parking via phone. You will be able to use features like straight entry or exit at narrow spaces, front/rear parking in/out, and more.
• Kunpeng lighting effect: Visit Settings > Lighting > Welcome lighting effect > Headlight projection > Kunpeng lighting effect for a new experience.
• Outdoor Karaoke feature: This feature will showcase lyrics in front of the car or on the ground via DLP for a unique experience. To use it, ensure that you have the Kugou app.
• Wiper Sensitivity feature: On the Control screen, go to Settings > Vehicle Controls > More > Auto Wiper Sensitivity.
• Now you can manage the position and size of the screen through voice commands. Just say ‘Enlarge/Reduce the optical machine image size.
• Voice support for zero-gravity seat massage feature. Enable, disable, or adjust it by using your voice.
• The update lets you operate the ISD interactive light language via the crystal knob. Just long-press it to enable the feature and rotate it accordingly.
• Auto-shutdown of seat ventilation/heating/massage feature as soon as the passenger leaves the seat.
• Added ADS 3D view display effect
• Improves the smart adjustment of high-low beam feature
• Improves the AVP functioning and adds support for manual speed adjustment.
• Optimizes the interface of AVM and APA while shifting gear to R.
