Whatsapp short video messages

WhatsApp is now testing a unique short messages video feature, which may amaze both Android and iOS users with its unique 60 seconds length ability.

According to the information, WhatsApp is introducing a new feature called video messages in the latest beta update for iOS and Android devices.

The short communication feature was first mentioned in WhatsApp beta 23.6.0.73 for iOS with a recent flight test. Then appeared WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.8.19.

You just need a phone with the capability to record a video to access this feature. When you send or receive a video message, you need to enlarge it by tapping on the video once if you want to listen to the audio, as shown in the attached screenshot.

This feature also requires version compatibility, which means the send and receive must have the same version or above.

To provide security, WhatsApp equips it with end-to-end encryption. Currently, the short video messages feature is available only to WhatsApp beta testers on Android and iOS. However, it will be available for all with a stable release.
