WhatsApp 23.12.0.74 spotted testing a brand new feature for iOS users called “screen broadcast” or should we say screen share. This new feature will WhatsApp iOS users to share the entire screen with a contact during a video call. It makes collaboration easy and demonstrates functionality. It could also be used to resolve issues remotely.

According to the information, If the feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, you will see a new icon at the bottom during a video call.

This option allows you to share the content of your screen with everyone on the call. While in use, Everything on your screen, including notifications, will be recorded. This will be shared remotely with the people currently connected to the video call.

You can enable the “Do Not Disturb” Focus mode (or your preferred focus mode) to hide notification content in the screen sharing.

This new version is testing a fresh status boost feature for iOS, which appears after you chose to boost your status with an advertisement. With a new interface, WhatsApp aims to provide a clear context and easy-to-navigate advertisement options for the advertiser.

WhatsApp iOS screen sharing and the new status boost UI are currently under beta testing. Therefore, it may take some to reach all of the users.
