Recently, WhatsApp has introduced a curious feature relating to the UI of voice messages with the latest beta version 2.21.13.17 for Android devices.

According to the information coming from Wabetainfo, the new UI change in voice message is the shape of the acoustic wave. If the WhatsApp beta user sends or receives any voice messages, a preview of voice waveforms appeared on the message bubble.

However, it’s later WhatsApp temporarily removed this feature due to testers’ feedback. Although that interface was nice, it was not possible to navigate through the voice message using the seek bar, and the color for the voice waveform wasn’t very visible in dark mode.

The most attentive things with this feature are that the new user interface is similar to private messages exchanged on Instagram.

Currently, this feature is rolled out to Android users and soon available on WhatsApp iOS and WhatsApp Web. Until then, stay tuned!

On the other hand, the last WhatsApp beta update brought features to quickly forward the sticker packs to their contacts. However, the forwarding of the sticker pack function is available for official sticker packs only and comes with support for third-party sticker packs.
