SERES Huawei Smart Selection SF5 is the first model that was displayed in Huawei’s official store for sale. Recently, several SERES SF5 car owners complain about various major problems found in the car and were forced to stop production as well as sales ASAP.

In this segment, a SERES SF5 car owner has reported that on several car communities that they had been “leaked cut”, the car was discontinued shortly after it was purchased.

However, another SERES SF5 owner threatened the company to find 370 owners in order to simultaneously protect their rights. On the other hand, one Huawei SERES SF5 smart car user from Dongguan, Guangdong reported that this car has eight major problems.

One car owner whose license plate is located in reported that the Cirrus SF5 has eight problems. The owner is focusing on stopping the production and sales as soon as possible.

Major Problems:

This SERES SF5 smart car comes with fuel consumption higher than advertised, false battery life, and car stalls. Moreover, several car owners also commented on the complaint post that they faced the problem of suspension of production and sales soon after purchasing the car that results in other problems such as low vehicle value retention and lack of after-sales service.

Huawei SERES SF5 sales:

Huawei Smart Selection Beijing store sales told the Chinese media that in September 2021, the SERES SF5 sold more than 800 vehicles overall, and Beijing sold more than 100 vehicles. Since Huawei announced its collaboration with Xiaokang Shares in April 2020, Travel Federation data showed that from April to August, SERES SF5 sales stood at 129, 204, 1097, 507, and 715, respectively.

Till the end of November 2021. the SERES SF5 sales reached 6,997 units. Furthermore, in April 2020, during the Shanghai Auto Show, Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong stated the target of “5 million annual sales” at the SERES SF5 Press Conference. However, the SERES SF5 clearly missed Huawei’s expectations.

Huawei AITO M5:

Last December, Huawei launched the HarmonyOS powered AITO M5 SUV, which is the first car to feature HarmonyOS powered cockpit. Since Huawei’s announcement of launching the first HarmonyOS car, many customers were eagerly waiting for this car in China.

This results, in just 4 days after launching, the Huawei AITO M5 car pre-orders exceeds 6500 units. The latest figures for its pre-booking are very good in terms of the initial response.

Also, it clearly reflects that SERES SF5 salespeople, the popularity of this new car actually surpassed that of the SERES SF5 in all aspects.
