In the last few weeks, the US has sent several warnings over its pending decision about Huawei and in this line of efforts, the US on Monday again told Britain not use Huawei for its 5G networks.

Senior US officials told British ministers that using Huawei technology in UK 5G networks would put transatlantic intelligence-sharing at risk, warning that allowing the Chinese firm access would be nothing short of madness”, reported the Guardian.

Recently, MI5 head, Andrew Parker said he saw ‘no reason to think’ that using Huawei would change the intelligence-sharing relationship with the US.

All four major mobile networks in the UK including Vodafone, BT, EE, and Three launched 5G services using Huawei’s network gear and government official admits that blocking Huawei would cost a big deal for consumers.

Despite U.S. pressure, some of the insiders hint that Boris Johnson likely to allow Huawei to participate in the 5G networks. However, an official announcement is due to be made later this month.
