New foldable smartphones from Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo coming

In February, Huawei introduced the foldable smartphone – Huawei Mate X2 with a new design and hinge system. However, it was the third foldable screen of the company after Huawei Mate X and Xs.

Besides Huawei, the Chinese phone maker Xiaomi and South Korea-based Samsung also continues this trend and launched new foldable smartphones. Now, other manufacturers including OPPO and Vivo also planning to join this belt and will introduce new foldable screens.

According to our fruitful Weibo tipster- DigitalChatStation, the smartphone makers will launch new foldable smartphones. He further suggests, Xiaomi’s Mix Fold will come with an under-screen proactive internal folding design.

As for Huawei, the company’s new flip-style Mate V is also in line and will be introduced before the end of this year. This yet-to-be-launched phone previously comes in the headline for its designing and companion accessory trademark confirmation.

Huawei Mate V: Flip Style Phone

According to the reports, Huawei Mate V will equip with a 5nm Kirin 9000 processor with a 4G network accessibility. This phone adopted a clamshell design with side-mounted functional keys including a power button and volume rockers. The design shows a vertical camera arrangement and USB  ports and speaker grills placed below in the phone.

In addition, it has been spotted various patent approval authorities including CNIPA and EUIPO. Furthermore, the company recently applied for a stylus trademark named V-pencil, which is likely to be accompanying the Mate V phone. However, the company hasn’t announced anything yet, but we are expected to get an official announcement before the end of 2021.

Apart from this, the report shows that OPPO’s new foldable model will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Furthermore, it’ll feature a 7.8 to 8-inch OLED folding inner screen with  2K resolution and a 120Hz high refresh rate.

Meanwhile, Vivo’s large-screen internal fold will come with the greater version- Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 (sm8450). Moreover, users will be getting a variety of folding smartphones to experience the large-screen view.
